Profile of Hamburg´s School of Watchmaking
Hamburg school of watchmaking exists
since 1887 and is located today in a modern
building in the north-eastern part of Hamburg.
It is a department of a large centre for vocational
training with an approximate number of 1000
students each day. The watchmaking department
has a total number of roughly 70 students,
12 who are trained in the German “duale System”
(employed by a company or master and participants
of theoretical courses in school) and a further
57 who do their complete training (practical
and theoretical) in school (Berufsfachschule).
We are 4 teachers for the practical part of
the education and another 5 teachers who support
us in the theoretical subjects (politics,
communication, mathematics etc).
