A.Lange & Söhne is an internationally successful saxonian company of the luxury Watch industry.
We manufacture exclusive mechanical watches, which enjoy highest appreciation all over the world.
Since the reestablishment in the year 1990 our company grew constantly and offers to roughly 600 highly qualified colleagues a safe job.

In the tradition of F.A.Lange we started with the education of young people to become a watchmaker in the year 1997.
Since the Beginning of the Education department over 100 watchmakers have completed their training, and most of them still work for Lange today.

The training period takes 3 years in the German “duale System”. The intake is between 15 – 20 students per year, the totally number depends at the moment between 40 – 60 students.
For the practical part of the education we are 4 instructors.
The theoretical courses are teached at the vocational school Glashütte (BSZ Freital – Dippoldiswalde).
Our education program is according to traditional watchmaker training and follows the national curriculum.
The program contains: tool making and production of spare parts, repairing of different clocks, pocket watches and wristwatches and also be part of the education is the practical training in different production departments of the company.
